Our Story

Swee discovered natural organic skincare 20 years ago when it was still a little known concept in mainstream Britain. 

She had suffered from severe eczema and become hyper allergic to skincare and cosmetics after the birth of her daughter. 

She started doing research and learned about the synthetic chemicals in conventional skincare that were aggravating her skin due to postpartum eczema, even high-priced luxury brands that she had been using for years prior to childbirth.

There were great challenges to find the right skincare products and much learning about natural beauty ingredients to alleviate her eczema suffering. As there were few suitable brands available locally, Swee went to the extent of importing organic skincare from United States and Europe.

Her struggles inspired her to the founding of Green Trading: a platform to help others who suffer from skin ailments like her, by offering a curated list of small brands of high performing natural skincare and products for the home.

Over the years, as Swee embraced a more sustainable lifestyle, Green Trading's mission has evolved to help others discover how low waste lifestyles that, naturally, include quality sustainable skincare.

The new Green Trading Store is a culmination of Swee's sustainability journey.
It offers a highly select list of curated small brands. The goal is not just to promote natural skincare without the nasties, but also natural products for the home and to support local and environmentally responsible British brands.  

Who are we? 

Green Trading Store is an online shop offering a curated list of small sustainable brands of high quality beauty and home products. It is run by Green Trading—a platform for making low waste lifestyles more accessible to the British public.

What do we do?

We have been promoting sustainable lifestyles and products for the last 15 years. 

• We have a directory of zero waste shops and and farmers markets for London 
• A low-waste beauty shop (launched in Sep 2025)
